Functional Skills for Business

Maths and English...are central to work and life

  • Does your business documentation and quality of your employee’s emails accurately reflect your organisation's image?
  • Do all staff have the communication skills in writing and verbally that you would like?
  • Is data entered correctly to meet your business needs?

We offer an effective way to improve functional skills for business, using a blended approach to meet the specific learning styles and needs of each employee, from entry levels to level 1 and level 2.

We arrange regular face-to-face individual sessions, which are also supported by our City & Guilds E-Functional Skills programme to ensure learners are continually productive during their training programme, and have the correct resources in place.

Initial assessment and diagnostic

Adaptive initial assessment and diagnostic tests assess learner’s skills level and identify knowledge gaps.

Individual learning plan

Based on the results of the initial assessment, an individual learning plan is created to target areas of weakness.

Learning modules

Organised by level and skills area help guide learners through the modules and are supported by our tutors

Test your knowledge

At the end of each module, these help learners consolidate their learning and check progress, which is carefully monitored by our tutors.

Practice tests

Learners can access a series of practice tests, to enable them to become more confident and familiar with the content and testing environment.

Testing

When the learner is ready, testing is arranged to suit the learner and the business.

Functional Skills training programmes are fully funded through the Marches Skills Provider Network ESF Project for small/medium sized businesses.  Please contact us for more information.
